The University of Missouri Men’s Golf Team took advantage of an outstanding 2nd round team score of 285 on their way to a 4th place finish at the Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in South Carolina.
Mizzou knocked off six nationally-ranked programs which included No. 15 LSU, No. 21 Auburn, No. 23 Clemson, No. 26 Texas A&M, No. 32 South Carolina and No. 50 Augusta State.
Senior Jace Long led Missouri once again with a tie for 17th. The Dixon, Mo., native shot steady rounds of 76-70-76 earning his seventh consecutive Top 20 finish of the year.
The 2013 Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate was a 54-hole event played on the par-72, 7,263-yard Bulls Bay Course. No. 11 Duke claimed the tournament crown by three shots over No. 48 North Carolina State. No. 28 Wake Forest finished third, just ahead of No. 36 Missouri, which was the top finishing Southeaster Conference program.
