The Accelerated Golf Tour announced today a new event added to their 2013 schedule of tournaments. On August 6-7, the area’s fastest growing junior golf circuit, will host a two-day, 36-hole competition at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield, MO.
The tournament will serve as a preview for the MSHSAA Class 2 Girls State Tournament that will be held later that fall.
In addition to the 36-hole championship, the Accelerated Golf Tour will also be hosting an 18-hole tournament at the same venue on August 7th. The reason for offering both formats was to allow the competitors playing at Forest Hills Country Club on August 5-6 the opportunity to test their skill at Meadow Lake Acres, if only for one day. “We felt it was important to give the girls competing in St. Louis the chance to see Meadow Lake Acres in competition,” commented Tour Director Carol Fromuth. “We extremely excited to taking an event to Meadow Lake Acres and looking forward to seeing many of the potential Class 2 competitors in the field.”
The Accelerated Golf Tour tees off it’s 2013 schedule on June 18-19 at Purdue University’s Kampen Course in West Lafayette, IN. This is a new event for the Accelerated Golf Tour and a unique opportunity for players in the region to test their game on one of the top collegiate golf courses in the country. “While the Accelerated Golf Tour is based in St. Louis, it’s our intent to offer competitive events throughout the region and we’re very much looking forward to hosting an event at Purdue University,” said Fromuth.
